Petition: Council should focus on core services, not climate grandstanding

Auckland Council has declared a 'climate emergency', despite the immediate need to get finances under control and improve core services like roads and rubbish.

The Council admits the ‘declaration’ has no legal standing. It is purely symbolic and will do nothing to change the global climate.

"I call on Councillors to focus on core services, instead of wasting time and my ratepayer money virtue-signalling on international issues like climate change."
